Notice: Gopher Control On April 10 & 16, 1-3:30 pm, Public Works will conduct gopher control using small-caliber firearms at the ball diamonds east of the Palestre arena and empty lots south of Somerset. Safety protocol details: Only Town of Gravelbourg staff with PAL will participate Crew members will take turns spotting Staff will wear high-visibility vests and required PPE Firearms will be .22 calibre or lower A marked Town of Gravelbourg vehicle will be on site The Town has notified the RCMP of the event dates & times The Town is implementing gopher control to protect and preserve our green spaces. We ask the public to stay clear of the ball diamonds and the empty lots south of Somerset while Town staff are working. Keep pets and children away.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Background: In July 2023, Council carefully considered several gopher control methods, including poison bait and carbon monoxide gas. The targeted use of firearms by trained Town personnel avoids the risks associated with poison and is more effective in open areas. Take a swim in our beautiful facility which includes a semi-Olympic size pool, a children's wading pool, 2 diving boards and access for the mobility impaired. We are located in the west entrance of École Mathieu School. The pool is open from April to August.

The Aquaplex offers Lifesaving Society swimming lessons from Parent & Tot 1 to LSI.

Set #1 - Saturdays & Sundays
May 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 24th, & 25th
Lessons will run in the mornings

Set #2 - Tuesdays & Thursdays
May 13th, 15th, 20th, 22nd, 27th, 29th, June 3rd & 5th
Lessons will begin at 4pm

Set #3 - Monday - Thursday
June 9th - 12th & June 17th - 20th
Lessons will begin at 6pm

Set #4 - Monday - Friday
August 18th - 22nd
Lessons will begin at 4pm

COSTS:
PARENT & TOT: $65.00 per swimmer
PRESCHOOL: $65.00 per swimmer
SWIMMER 1-4: $75.00 per swimmer
SWIMMER 5 & 6: $80.00 per swimmer
ROOKIE, RANGER, STAR: $85.00 per swimmer
